Jessi Yoga
My Yoga comes from a place of heartfelt authenticity, inspired by my own negotiations with life and by my many teachers and mentors across the globe. Yoga and Meditation are a way of coming home to myself helping me to express my being in gracious connection with others..
The Yoga I'm practicing is Hatha Yoga, yet I am drawing on different somatic practices which makes the Yoga my Yoga - Jessi Yoga. Given my extensive four year training and the multiple workshops and CPD courses I attended, all join the mix from which I design a bespoke, client-centred approach to not working "on the body" but with the body, or even with the Self through the body.
What is Hatha Yoga?
Popular thinking ‘in the West’ (an all-too-common expression now), is that Hatha yoga is about balancing the body and mind. More literally, ‘Ha’ represents the sun, and ‘tha’ the moon. The practice of yoga aims to join, yoke, or balance opposite energies and thereby create an experience of wholesome-ness.
Yoga & Psychology
Psychologically speaking, we often tend to split off an energy or parts that work seemingly in opposition to other ones. However, paradox lies at the core of human nature and gifts each of us our complexity and thus uniqueness. Yoga is a way of widening the representation we have of ourselves and the world and create enough space for holding difference, for being and letting be.
What’s happening in a Yoga session?
I always tailor a session towards what you need from it. This is true for both individual as well as group sessions. The usual ingredients are mindfulness and awareness, movement and posture, breathwork and guided meditation.
Is Yoga different from mindfulness?
Whereas yoga can include more somatic work and mindfulness-based techniques may work with more guided reflections and meditations, they are inseparable. There is far more to say about Yoga as a way of living and ancient practice and how Mindfulness training springs off from it. For example, you can read more about this here.

Corporate Yoga & Mindfulness Sessions: Improving Staff Wellbeing and Work Relations
Real Quotes. Real people. Real difference.
The anonymised quotes below are from a research project on how yoga supports staff wellbeing in a health care setting which is extremely demanding and emotionally taxing.
As you can see, participants particularly highlight their increased stress management capacity as well as emotional regulation – both of which contributes to the improvement of social interactions in the workplace and beyond.
“I think because I can get quite stressed when I’m at work, yoga just helps me to reset. So then obviously if I maintain a higher level of stress, I’ll get sick but if manage to decompress afterwards then that just keeps me steady.”
“I was able to regulate the stress and anxiety a lot more and not attach to it. That was the biggest thing - Being able to breathe, and connect with my physical body. I felt a lot more relaxed.”
“Yoga helps to have better interactions with others. I guess if you can be compassionate to yourself and take that time and look after yourself then that definitely has a spillover effect on how you are with other people in a beneficial way.”
“Yoga helped me to have more compassion for myself and enables me to be more empathetic with others. Being able to listen a bit more, being a bit slower in my interactions and not as reactive.”
“I think the way Jessi was in, how she was so genuine in the way of delivering it, that made a massive difference. You can feel that but she really embodied this kind of, sense of, self-care and self-love and a gentle confidence. It made me think, aw, there are people like that and actually like this is a living example. It helps being like that towards myself and others as well. “

How long is a yoga session or course?
Based on your inquiry and after identifying individual or company-based needs and requirement we will agree on a plan which defines the number of yoga sessions. Sessions can vary in length, for example a quick lunchtime yoga/mindfulness break can last between 30-45mintes, but often sessions are 60, 75 or 90 minutes long.
Workshops are easily 90minutes long, but can also be extended to last for hours and may be immersive serving as half-day or full-day retreats too.
How much is yoga or mindfulness?
This depends on the setting and whether you are contacting me as an individual or as an organisation. Please contact me and we can discuss your inquiry.
